The Italian techno producer has been a key figure in a new wave of artists who are reshaping the genre into something fresh: brutal yet grooving and immaculately dirt-caked. Of the modern crop, Alarico is one of the best, standing apart both in his productions and his curation. He co-runs the essential Primal Instinct label with Chlär and has released steadily on hubs like KEY Vinyl, Mutual Rytm and Klockworks. He’s joined by AMORAL, returning to the room from Amsterdam. Concrete Husband is back following the release of his landmark “Where The Ashes Glow.” A truly multidisciplinary artist, Concrete Husband splits time between avant garde composition, drawing on his training as a classical flautist, and heaving techno. “Where The Ashes Glow” is his most unified work to date, bridging these poles with elegant physicality and penetrating pathos.
