Endzeit: Donato Dozzy // Sybil (UK)
Techno Barely recovered from hosting the SF Art Week closing event – three days where large-scale physical works and experimental sound journeys interplayed, forming a continuous vortex – we’re snapping back into the core Endzeit format: single night, two rooms, total immersion. Room 1 will feature an all-night-long set from Donato Dozzy: a rare extended immersion into one of techno’s defining figures. From K (Further Records) to the celebrated ambient landscapes of Voices From The Lake, his catalog has shaped the language of hypnotic, psychedelic, and deep-listening techno. After a string of masterful excursions into house, acid and dub, in 2016 Dozzy (together with long-standing Endzeit collaborator Neel) formalized his broad-ranging vision into Spazio Disponibile, the imprint built as a living studio project for the world’s finest composers. Donato’s debut set for Endzeit is a true all-night opportunity: no changeovers, no narrative breaks, just Dozzy carving the full arc. Room 2 brings back Sybil for an extended set, following a standout Endzeit appearance last year. Based in London, Sybil’s reputation is built on minutely crafted storytelling, narrated through immersive deep techno, breaks, downtempo, and cinematic ambient breaks. Her touring map reads like a cross-section of the world’s most serious dance floors and listening contexts, with performances at Waking Life, Dekmantel, Berlin Atonal, De School, Sustain-Release, and more; she also curates the long-running ambient / drone series Deep Mind Music (running since 2017). Endzeit residents Kudeki and Torsion anchor Room 2 with focused intent.
