Secret pop-up comedy show at a new bar (close to BART!) in Oakland Get ready for the return of our "HellaSecret" comedy show in Oakland. A new series of pop-up live comedy shows at unique spots all across the bay. We'll take over a venue and you'll get notified of the secret location. This HellaSecret comedy show takes place in a secret bar in Oakland with a killer sound and light system that just opened earlier this year - and we've turned it into a pop-up comedy club. We can't wait to share it with you! It's a 70+ minute show with 4-5 comics on the bill with credits like Cobbs, Punchline, SF Sketchfest, ABC and NBC. SHOW DATES & TIMES Fridays - 7p + 9p Shows Saturdays - 7p + 9p Shows FOOD & DRINKS The drinks menu features an expertly crafted cocktail selection from General Manager Yao Liow, formerly of Kincaid’s and Palomino and and an elevated bar food menu from chef Alessandro Campitelli, formerly of Contrasto. ABOUT THE VENUE This bar is the latest inspiration from Oakland-based community champions Richard Fuentes and Sean Sullivan. The pair is best known for transforming the famed The Port Bar into a must-visit destination for the LGBTQIA+ community, and particularly queer people of color, from all sides of the Bay. The venue also has a state of the art sound & lighting system - including two projectors, QSC Pro Audio speakers and ADJ Jolt 300 for laser eye candy - to be shared with comics from the Bay & all across America. This nearly 5,000 sq foot performance venue has a rotating art collection focused on local artists of color including art pieces from local artist Derrick Bell.
