With roots in Massachusetts and Chicago, NYC’s S4M23 opens the night with a deeply informed ear and reverence for the dancefloor. She’s followed by the DJ duo behind Sound Metaphors, one of Berlin’s most beloved record shops. Outlaw’s COTTON is always a welcome sight on her NYC home turf, now bringing renegade spirit to floors around the globe. Another renegade spirit of sorts, Vlada is a resident of the beloved Waking Life festival and founder of the Spell party series, blending minimal-adjacent, acidic deep cuts and oddball old school techno in her vinyl sets. Chicago house head and Hercules and Love Affair vocalist Shaun J. Wright takes over for the afternoon, a beloved regular to NYC’s queer dancefloors. Two Nowadays residents very familiar to our floor tie it all together with finesse: Time Passages founder and newly minted resident Binh and psychedelic conjurer Vladimir Ivkovic.
