Wrecked: Verraco / Ne/Re/A / Ryan Smith / Paul Fleetwood / Love Letters / Ron Like Hell
This February, Wrecked invites a crew of artists very close to the party. Medellín’s Verraco makes his debut in the club. The TraTraTrax co-founder has been an exhilarating voice in the modern global club landscape. His singular fusion of high-speed club sounds, tensile techno, dembow and cumbia as well as future-facing sound design has galvanized an entire cohort of artists following in his wake. Tap into the source. Ne/Re/A stands as one of the most beloved names in NY techno. Her sets writhe with muscular power and shimmer with the glint of distant stars laid out across a backdrop of infinite darkness. She’s back at Wrecked following a standout appearance in the spring of 2024. Wrecked co-founder Ryan Smith joins her, bringing that raw and rugged essence that permeates every set he plays. Paul Fleetwood also returns to the party. The Perimeter Junk label boss is a font of versatility and no-BS craft. Across a sprawling body of work, his productions move between singularly serene dub techno to taut, bouncing club sounds, luscious minimal house and more. And yet Fleetwood’s core voice always shines through. You can hear his years logged behind the decks in every single decision, as he seamlessly stitches together one secret weapon after another. Love Letters makes his debut at Wrecked. Whether channeling 8-bit dreamscapes, jacking acid house or blissed out ambient, his productions feel like, well, love letters to the fertile crosscurrents between early ‘00s midwest rave, classic Chicago house, NY’s sprawling underground and more. Ron Like Hell seals the deal with their inimitable, freewheeling signature.
