National Coming Out Day! (3rd Annual)
Last year, BabyGay™, The Black Cat, and the LA City Council made history when Los Angeles became the largest U.S. city to officially recognize National Coming Out Day as a city holiday. This year, we’re building on that momentum with the 3rd Annual National Coming Out Day Celebration, presented in partnership with OutCare Health and Councilmember Hugo Soto-Martínez (CD13). On Saturday, October 11th (7–11PM), we’re transforming The Black Cat—the birthplace of queer resistance in Los Angeles—into a vibrant space of community, queer joy, performances, food, drinks, and vendors. Expect an evening filled with live performances, drag, DJs, and a special live taping of the BabyGay™ Podcast—plus delicious cocktails, food, and community connection as we dance the night away together! When the main program wraps, the celebration keeps going with the official Black Cat Afterparty (10PM–2AM) 💜🎶 This is more than an event—it’s a powerful gathering of community, allies, artists, and leaders. Join us as we honor LGBTQIA+ history, uplift today’s voices, and continue pushing queer visibility forward. Host: Queen Lauren Banall (@laurenbanall) Featured Lineup: 🎧 DJs: Bri Giger (@brigiger), Brenna Jordan (@brennajordan) & DJ Litch Please (@litch_please) — bringing the beats all night ⭐ Plus more special guests to be announced!
