Join us at Hive Mind Books in Bushwick for Quote Unquote, an open mic for sharing poems, prose, and excerpts by writers we enjoy. 5 minutes. No hate. No spoilers. No original material. Come prepared with a piece of writing by an author you love and want to share with others, or grab a book off the shelf and read your favorite passage. Hosted by Hive Mind community member Nick Bardos, this open mic invites us to know one another through the literature that personally delights us, enlivens us, inspires us, and sustains us. The sign up sheet will go out at 6:30pm. The mic starts at 7pm. Free to attend. Please RSVP so we know how many chairs to put out! An RSVP does NOT reserve a spot to read. In order to read, you must be here in person and put your name down on the sign up sheet. Hive Mind’s coffee, tea, and mocktail bar will be open during the event.
