The question we all ask in every city is the same...

“What LGBTQIA+ events are happening near me today?”

Finding a local karaoke night, a rave, a speed dating night, a sober meetup, a support group, a community rally, a concert, or a casual gaythering meant scrolling through dozens of fragmented, non-inclusive platforms. Private groups, screenshots of flyers, a friend who happens to know. And when we travel it gets harder, because the same question comes up in a place we do not know yet.

So we built Gaytherings: an LGBTQIA+ event ticketing and discovery platform with more than 18 categories and growing, created by us, for us. It is live worldwide, starting in the USA, because that question does not stop at a border.

Gaytherings started with a problem: finding LGBTQIA+ events was harder than it should be anywhere in the world. Not just nightlife - everything happening in the community, for every member, with any preference. Events lived in fragmented group chats, word of mouth, and Facebook listings untouched since 2018. You move to a new city: how do you find your people? You land somewhere for a few days: how do you know what's happening while you're there? Every one of us has asked these questions.

So we built the answer ourselves. Gaytherings started as a simple calendar: one place where everything happening in the community could actually be found. Then we decided we deserve more as a community. Organizers should be able to sell tickets, reach new faces, and get paid without the runaround, so the calendar kept growing, piece by piece, into a full platform. We keep building it with the care our community deserves, because the easier it is to find each other, the more we gather.
