Meet new people and relax while creating something personal. This event is hosted by @collagesbymichael (on Instagram), a local artist who will bring books and magazines with which to create personal collages. The theme of the night will be "diary/journal." We'll spend the evening creating, and there will be optional time at the end to share about your piece. Michael McGuckin is a New York–based artist and musician working with collage. Their work explores characters, media imagery, and surreal environments, assembling found materials into layered compositions that blur memory, identity, and perception. They are interested in tension between control and chaos, and how images reshape meaning.
