A working-class kickback The Night Shift: A Working-Class Kickback Brought to you by the Dream Defenders + Class Ruins Everything Around Me Before red carpets and curated guest lists, there were rent parties. Folks clearing out the living room, passing a plate, turning everyday struggle into celebration. Music so good it softened the weight of the workweek. Community was survival. Joy was resistance. This Pre-Labor Day Weekend, Dream Defenders is bringing that spirit back. This is a love letter to the working-class. A function for the people who keep the world moving. A third space for Black, brown, and LGBTQ+ workers across industries: The artists, organizers, nail techs, warehouse workers, teachers, braiders, cooks, caregivers, designers, janitors, poets, and culture shifters.
