Join us on third Thursdays at Seattle Central Library for an hour of reading followed by bookish chitchat! Join us on third Thursdays at 6 pm for an hour of reading and bookish chitchat. Bring your current read or grab a book from the stacks! Come a little early and browse the library gift shop, which is staying open until 6 pm just for us! Here's the schedule: 6:00: Arrive at the library and head to Level 4 (The Red Floor), Meeting Room 1, for intros 6:10-6:30: Around the room for intros--your name & pronouns, where you’re coming from, what you’re reading 6:30-7:30: Disperse throughout the library for an hour of reading (we recommend the Level 10 Reading Room!) 7:30-7:45: Meet back in the Level 3 Living Room for bookish chitchat with fellow readers and possible post-book-club dinner adventures (This part's optional—feel free to read & leave) 8:00: The library closes! Out, out, out! This is a no-pressure book club for queer folks and allies: we’re here for reading, community, and, of course, the library! Need ideas for what to read at book club? Try "Your Next 5 Books"—where a librarian creates a personalized reading list just for you! Tell us in this form a bit about what you like (and hate!) to read, and a librarian will email you a list of five books chosen just for you. 😷Masks encouraged! 📸We take photos & videos at almost every event - if you prefer not to be photographed, DM us on Instagram or let an organizer know at the event.
