Celebrate queer joy, creativity, and community at Queer Magic Day on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Kerry Hall. This free community event will feature a vibrant marketplace highlighting LGBTQIA+ artists, makers, small businesses, authors, community organizations, and creatives from across the city. In addition to shopping and connecting with local vendors, join us for some magical workshops, performances, a panel discussion, arts activities, and more. Come celebrate a day of creativity and connection as we uplift and support the incredible talents within our LGBTQIA+ community. Registration is FREE with RSVP Event Schedule: 10am-2pm – Ongoing Vendor Market (1st Floor and Patio) 10:30am-11:30am – Youth Dance Funk with Isaiah Rashaad (3rd Floor Dance Studios) 11:00am – 12:00pm – Panel: Queer Magic: What We Create When We Come Together (Theater) 11:30am-1:00pm – Adult Heels Dance with Isaiah Rashaad (3rd Floor Dance Studios) 12:30pm – 2pm – Performances and Open Mic (Theater) Queer Magic Day Featured Vendors and Community Partners: Apridot Studios Artebycas Avasinterests Blush & Clovers Butter Bandit Bakery Charlie’s Gay Poetry Cosmic Kitten Crow’s Nest Comics Cute Dumplings Filter & Shot Coffee Heavy Duty Vintage Lambert House NMC Design Studio Rayna L. Stiner Sustainable Renton Vaquero Azul Art Panel Details: Queer Magic: What We Create When We Come Together – 11am, Theater Pop into our theater for a 45-minute panel (followed by a Q&A) exploring the creativity, culture, joy, and possibilities that emerge when queer people gather in community. Rather than focusing on challenges, let’s celebrate the unique ways queer communities have shaped art, connection, imagination, and collective futures. We’ll discuss: Queer art as world-building Community as a creative force Queer gatherings, mutual aid, and performance as acts of magic Love in all forms Creating spaces for our queer community members Panelists will include the program manager of Rainbow City Performing Arts and the owner of Slightly Furry Beverage Company and Taproom.
