BGSQD and Hive Mind Books invite writers of all levels and backgrounds to join author Christian Pan in a Queer Erotica Writing Workshop! Do you have fantasies, desires, an over-active imagination? Have you ever wanted to put some of that into a short story? Do you like reading erotica, and ever thought, "Yeah, I could do that!" Do you feel like your particular kind of YUM is not showing up in the LGBTQIA+ lit out there? Then grab pen & paper (or a laptop), come to the Bureau, and let's sweat it out onto the page. Over the course of 5 in-person sessions – August 17, 24, 31, and September 8 & 14 – this workshop will provide prompts, tools, readings, and discussion of how each of us can bring your erotic story to life. We'll talk character, dialogue, place, and ways to activate the senses. We'll read excerpts from other people's work, and welcome you to submit excerpts to be workshopped by the class. We will try to get you as close as possible to finishing a draft of that story by the end of the workshop. Participants will also be invited to read an excerpt from their work to invited guests at a public reading at the Bureau after the series concludes. Sound like fun? Cost is a suggested donation of $15 per session, or $50 for all 5. This fee will go to support the bookstore as well as to pay Christian for his time. NOTAFLOF Class size is capped at 15. *** Christian Pan is the author of over 20 books of erotic fiction which often center bisexual characters, identity, and experience. His writing has been published by Cleis Press, Incision Press, Folly, Rebel Satori Press, the Indie Authors Collective, and the Erotica Consortium; he´s co-authored numerous titles with Jenna Citrus and Olivia Lawless; and his books have received recognition from the Passionate Plume Awards, the Golden Pigtails, and The International Impact Book Awards. He is the editor and publisher of The Best Bi Erotica of the Year anthology series, whose 3rd volume will appear on Bi Visibility Day this September 2026; was Patreon's A Club Captain for the Queer Erotic Content Creators Club from 2022-25; and hosts the Pulse Session for the Podcast All the Filthy Details. He lives in New York City.
