Celebrate queer love with powerful stories and poetry during this cozy reading session you won’t want to miss! Jerry Portwood launched The Queer Love Project two years ago while on a walk in Somerville, and it’s grown into such a supportive space filled with creativity, generosity and kindness. He invites you to celebrate the annniversary of the platform by joining with other collaborators as we explore the multiplicity of ways we put ourselves together. The event is open to all ages and identities. While it's primarily focused on LGBTQ+ stories and poetry, we invite allies and anyone curious to join in the fun. Issues of the QLP Quarterly zine will be available, as well as other merch. You can also support the readers by purchasing copies of their books and having them signed by the authors. Income-based sliding scale ticketing ($0-$20*): This is a free event and we welcome everyone to join. If you are someone who identifies as having little to no income, please feel free to RSVP to our event for free. If you are someone who identifies as having disposable or generational income, please pay as close to full price for our event as you can, which will support the organization and allow us to pay our contributors. *Anyone who buys a ticket ($10+) will receive a copy of the QLP Quarterly Zine or another QLP merch item of your choice.
