Exvangelicals features storytelling and comedy from reformed cult members who were unable to pray the gay away! Join us for a night of humor, healing, and silliness! Were you a Veggie Tales kid? Did you have a promise ring? Have you done missionary work that you’re now deeply ashamed of? Well have we got a show for you! Exvangelicals features storytelling and comedy from two reformed cult members who were unable to pray the gay away. Join us September 26th, 7pm, at the Rooted Cafe in Somerville! This comedy/storytelling double feature includes Christian bop knock-offs, jokes about the Purity Movement, and millennial era Presbyterian references. If you went to a non-denominational church, how’s being bisexual now? Featuring: Andi Brown: Andi is a trans storyteller and comedian originally from the South. He performs stand-up comedy throughout New England. Andi is a multiple time Moth StorySlam winner, Moth GrandSlam winner, and winner of the Smut Slam (the Moth's sexier cousin).
