We are celebrating and raising funds for Transhealth, a Massachusetts non-profit providing gender-affirming healthcare to trans communities. Join us at Lovestruck Books & Cafe for an evening of community, connection, and action in support of Transhealth, the only independent nonprofit healthcare organization in the U.S. solely devoted to serving trans and gender-diverse people. As access to gender-affirming care for trans youth faces growing threats, Transhealth is preparing to serve more young people and families who need a safe, affirming place to turn. We’ll gather in the cozy spirit of our bookstore for conversation, queer and trans literature, lite bites, specialty sips, and opportunities to directly support Transhealth’s work. Mix, mingle and shop a curated selection of LGBTQIA+ reads or purchase books to be donated to trans youth groups and family support circles. Come raise a glass, find a good book, meet your community, and help make sure trans people, especially trans youth, can continue to get the care they need and deserve! 100% of ticket sales, silent auction sales, and proceeds from the cash bar will go to Transhealth. Lovestruck Books & Cafe will match additional donations made at the event up to $5,000. We appreciate your support and look forward to celebrating with you! Can't make it? Silent auction contributions are tax-deductible for the amount paid, minus the market value of the item. Event Details 5:30 PM: Doors Open – Welcome in! Mix and mingle over light bites and custom mocktails. Browse and place your silent auction bids on bookish treats and other fun prizes! 6:30 PM: Program Begins – Rachel will kick us off before handing the mic over to Mel DeSilva, Vice President of Development and External Affairs at Transhealth. Plus hear from a few other surprise speakers! 7:15 PM: Silent Auction – Be sure to place your auction bids prior to this time, we'll now be declaring the winners! Afterwards, meet someone new! Enjoy the rest of the evening in community with each other. 8:00 PM: Evening Wraps Up – Thanks for joining us and for supporting Transhealth! Tickets are limited, so grab yours soon! If the event sells out, you can join the Eventbrite waitlist by selecting “Reserve a spot” followed by “Join Waitlist”. Should any spots open up, you’ll have 24 hours to register before we offer it to the next person. Accessibility Check-in will take place at our front entrance on Brattle Street. If you have any accessibility needs, you're welcome to use our side entrance (located on the right side of the building), which is wheelchair accessible and has a ramp. This event is mask-optional. Guests who would benefit from priority seating or any additional assistance are encouraged to reach out in advance — just email us at events@lovestruckbooks.com.
