A Rooftop Named Desire closes its season atop The Jack with a lineup that represents the very best of what Detroit gave the world and what New York keeps alive. The bay is still beautiful. DJ Minx is a legend, full stop — the First Lady of Wax, a Detroit institution since the early '90s, founder of Women on Wax, and one of the most revered selectors in the history of house and techno. DJ Holographic is her city's next great gift to the world: a one-woman funk machine whose sets pour Motown, techno, disco, and pure joy into every room she enters.
