From seasoned icons of Hawaiʻi's drag community to rising performers pushing creative boundaries, Māhū Madness showcases the incredible diversity, talent, and brilliance of Native Hawaiian and local LGBTQIA+ artists. Inspired by the glamour and legacy of the legendary Glades Era, the production brings together beloved queens and emerging stars for an electrifying night of live performances, storytelling, music, comedy, and unapologetic self-expression. More than a show, Māhū Madness is a celebration of identity, culture, and community. Think mirror balls, platform shoes, sequins, metallics, bell bottoms, bold prints, and all the glitz of a night at Studio 54. Whether you're channeling a disco diva, funky king, or your own retro masterpiece, we want you to bring the groove and shine all night long. Dress to impress—prizes will be awarded for Best Dressed Individual and Best Dressed Table, so gather your crew and turn your table into the hottest spot on the dance floor. This is your chance to sparkle under the disco ball, strut your stuff, and boogie the night away. Let's make it a night to groove, glitter, and shine! This Year's Honoree: Shelrae Roberts As part of Māhū Madness 2026, PAʻI Foundation is proud to honor Shelrae Roberts for her extraordinary contributions to Hawaiʻi's LGBTQIA+ community and her enduring legacy as a beloved entertainer, cultural icon, and trailblazer. As one of the legendary performers of Honolulu's famed Glades Era, Shelrae helped create spaces where māhū and queer communities could be seen, celebrated, and thrive with dignity and pride. Through decades of artistry, mentorship, and unwavering authenticity, Shelrae has inspired generations of performers while preserving an important chapter of Hawaiʻi's cultural and LGBTQIA+ history. This year's tribute recognizes her remarkable impact and celebrates a life dedicated to courage, excellence, and the enduring spirit of aloha. We invite you to join us as we honor Shelrae Roberts and the legacy she continues to leave for future generations. Pūlama Tickets: Pūlama Tickets includes dinner buffet, (1) drink ticket, and premiere table seating for the show, doors open 5PM, dinner begins at 5:30PM. Milimili Tickets: Milimili Tickets includes (1) drink ticket and premiere table seating for the show, doors open 6:30PM, show begins at 7PM. General Admission: All other general admission tickets includes seating for the show only, doors open at 6:30PM. Show begins at 7PM. Native & Local Mākeke: Our local & native mākeke will begin at 5PM and will run until 9PM outside of the entrance to the ballroom!
