Queer + Allies Speed-Friending! Meet new people, make new friends, and build community in a fun, welcoming space. We’re kicking off Pride Week in Logan with a night all about community, connection, and meeting new people. 🌈 Join The Human Connect Project for Queer + Allies Speed-Friending at Home Range Brewing on Tuesday, September 15! This event is a chance for members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies to meet new people, make friends, and start Pride Week surrounded by community. Making friends as an adult can be hard, especially when you’re trying to find people you genuinely connect with. Speed-Friending takes some of the awkwardness out of it by giving you an easy reason to sit down, start talking, and meet people you probably wouldn’t have crossed paths with otherwise. How It Works Throughout the evening, you’ll rotate through small groups and have a few minutes to chat with different people. We’ll have conversation prompts available if you need a little help breaking the ice, but there’s no pressure to use them. At the end of the event, you’ll have the opportunity to privately select anyone you’d like to connect with again. If you both choose each other, we’ll send you one another’s contact information after the event. No awkwardly asking for someone’s number. No pressure to make a decision in the moment. Who Is This For? This event is for queer folks and allies who want to meet new people and help build a more connected, inclusive community in Cache Valley. Whether you’re new to Logan, have lived here forever, want more LGBTQ+ friends, or are simply looking to expand your social circle, you’re welcome. This is a friendship-focused event, not speed-dating. You absolutely do not need to bring a friend. Most people come to our events on their own, and everyone is there for the same reason: to meet someone new. Come help us kick off Pride Week, make a few new connections, and start the week with community.
