Chillits is an ambient and downtempo music festival in a campout setting. It is organized by a community of San Francisco Bay Area based artists and volunteers, supported by the Cloud Factory Collective for the Arts. Chillits is a not-for-profit event, financed through donations from organizers, attendees and other well wishers. Similarly, the event is staffed by attendees: one is expected to sign up for a volunteer shift to be able to register for the event. The event will take place over the weekend of September 11-13, with music starting at 6pm on Friday and ending at noon on Sunday. Chillits 2026 will return to Black Oak Ranch in California's Mendocino County. This is a very well-appointed spot, with electricity, shaded and unshaded camping areas, tipis, flush toilets, a rainbow stage for DJs, live acts and visualists, and a very large chill area.
