Sunday Skate Club: DJ-D vs Miss Gypsy | Club Flush: RATONC1T0 & Ether Pleaser (skate) A love letter to Sunday Skate Club Every Sunday from 8–12am, the rink becomes more than a skate session. It’s a weekly ritual where local club kids, industry folks, and NYC’s DJs get their flowers — and skate heads and music heads move in the same orbit. Here you see the true versatility of a DJ. That epic artist you loved at 5am now accepts the challenge of an all-skate set around a groovy 100bpm — R&B, disco, and other unexpected jams. It’s a rare chance to hear their non-unz unz selections like R&B, disco, you name it. From thudding foggy sweaty beats the morning before (well, it may have still been your ‘night’) to idyllic skating in a psychedelic rink with jams that make you smile big. You start with a few laps, feeling out the floor, the room fills, the rhythm builds, and before long, you’re moving without thinking — just you, the music, and the night. Then you notice friends slipping into the bathrooms… only it’s Club Flush, pulling the off-wheels crowd into something sweatier, louder, a little unhinged. Red-lit and hazy, fog stretching the room so it feels bigger than it is. An 18” sub shakes the floor, a hidden 21” built straight into the booth hits your chest. There are no grimy stalls, no smells (thanks all!) just a fully enclosed, immersive room. A few minutes in, and you forget you’re even standing in a bathroom. You might walk in for a second and stay for half a set. You might discover your new favorite DJ. You might skate, then dance, then skate again. That’s the point. Every week is a different crew, a different sound, a different pocket of the city’s underground stepping forward. Sunday Skate Club is about unified movement — wheels, feet, bass, community. When these scenes overlap, the energy multiplies, and the night becomes something bigger than the sum of its parts. See you every Sunday at 8.
