ABOUT QUEER Q&As:: The film has received praise on the 2026 festival circuit for its poignant and satircial narrative, and raw performances. The post screening Q&A's give audiences an opportunity to explore the inner thematic workings of the film's plot, stories, and characters, as well production, and the filmmaking process. The Q&As are designed to give audiences the power and desire to create a new narrative about who we are, where we came from, and how we want to love and build the world we desrve. Old farts have been dividing & conquering for far too long, and their stories have become so boring we have to reclaim our own origin stoires and get busy being fruitful, loving, and creative. FILM SYNOPSIS: :What if God’s Original Plan was for queer reproduction, and humanity’s Original Sin was turning away from it? Four Gods—Diekololaoluwalayemi, Ohanzee, Urvisha, and Gedaliah—create two male couples, Dana and Adam, and two female couples, Stephanie and Eve, to multiply through immaculate conception. Centuries later, a shape-shifter urges humans to reproduce without the Gods, causing chaos. The Gods send Jabril to guide Josephine and Mariah, whose child Jesse advocates for the Original Plan. Love, creation, and all forms of connection are revealed as sacred, and the choice to bear children is freely granted. History, society, and human existence are reshaped under this vision, challenging the foundations of family, identity, and relationships. BIO OF DIRECTOR JOHN TEDESCHI: Stockbridge, MA filmmaker, actor, director, & writer John Tedeschi is the writer and director of the 2026 feature film Beget. As a middle-aged queer man, Tedeschi draws on his own experiences of societal conditioning to create socially aware, didactic cinema that champions equality, empathy, and pluralism. He leads the Stockbridge-based Continental Shoemakers, a film production company dedicated to edifying narratives that challenge cultural norms and raise consciousness. Prior to his feature work, his award-winning short film A Book by Their Cover explored local controversies surrounding LGBTQIA+ books in schools.
