Mama Snake returns to BASEMENT. The Amniote Editions founder has been a major force in the modern techno-trance renaissance. From her emergence in the middle of the ‘10s through her label’s explosive run following its 2019 debut, Mama Snake has consistently pushed into the cutting edge. Euphoric synths drape over razor-sharp digital soundscapes, painting a view of the future as both mechanized and indelibly human. BOUND founder Katie Rex completes the lineup. One of the architects of NY nightlife, Rex has played an integral part in shaping the current techno landscape. It’s reflected in her sets, which bristle with thrilling tension and heavy, hard-edged groove.
