Diversity takes center stage at HellaFunny's brand new "People of Color" Comedy Night in Oakland Welcome to Oakland's newest comedy night, spotlighting the vibrant humor of People of Color! Prepare for an evening of laughter as HellaFunny showcases handpicked talent that normally performs at Cobb's, SF Sketchfest, and the Punch Line. Our lineup celebrates the diversity of the Bay Area's comedic scene, promising an unforgettable experience filled with wit, insight, and uproarious fun. Saturdays - 7p + 9p Shows FOOD & DRINKS The drinks menu features an expertly crafted cocktail selection from General Manager Yao Liow, formerly of Kincaid’s and Palomino and and an elevated bar food menu from chef Alessandro Campitelli, formerly of Contrasto. Like most comedy clubs there is a two item minimum to help support the bar staff. There are many non-alcoholic options available. ABOUT THE VENUE - FLUID510 This bar is the latest inspiration from Oakland-based community champions Richard Fuentes and Sean Sullivan. The pair is best known for transforming the famed The Port Bar into a must-visit destination for the LGBTQIA+ community, and particularly queer people of color, from all sides of the Bay. The venue also has a state of the art sound & lighting system - including two projectors, QSC Pro Audio speakers and ADJ Jolt 300 for laser eye candy - to be shared with comics from the Bay & all across America. This nearly 5,000 sq foot performance venue has a rotating art collection focused on local artists of color including art pieces from local artist Derrick Bell. FULL BAR / COCKTAILS: Drinks Menu has lots of fun and creative cocktails with rum, mezcal, tequila, vodka and whiskey. Plus beer and wine and mocktails. ---------------------- COMEDY SHOW: Runs approximately 70+ minutes and will be 4-5 comics. CHECK-IN DETAILS: Please arrive about 20-30 minutes in advance if possible and look for the person checking people in. Have your tickets available on your smart phone or printed out tickets.
