A figuring drawing event centered around queer and trans bodies. Come draw, kiki, bring snacks, and celebrate the community. This is a figure drawing event for and by the LGBTQ community. $15-$30 voluntary donation; however, no one is turned away for lack of funds. This is a community-focused event, and money donated goes directly to the models. It is traditional figure drawing, aka nude, and most of the models are untrained. This event is casual and respectful. There are a variety of poses from 30 seconds to 15 minutes. There is typically one model and a range of poses. Art supplies are provided. Useful tips are given by Charrow for those who want to learn more about drawing forms. People are encouraged to share their art on social media with the permission of the models. There is no photography of the models permitted. Mask required. KN95 masks are provided. -------- Prioritized models: those who do not have stable income, swerks, bipoc, disabled, fat, and those who are generally overlooked for modeling jobs. This event aims to give untrained models some experience for their resume if they would like to pursue modeling elsewhere. Way, way more importantly, Sketchy Queers pays them for their time through the generous support of the community.
