A safe space for black lesbians to write, heal, create , and connect. No experience is necessary just bring your notebook and an open heart. Ink & Intention: A Writing Sanctuary for Black Lesbians Ink & Intention is a curated creative gathering for Black lesbians and queer Black women who find joy, healing, and liberation through writing. Whether you write poetry, journal your thoughts, craft short stories, work on a manuscript, or simply want to reconnect with your voice, this event was created with you in mind. This is more than a writing event—it is a safe, affirming space for like-minded individuals to create, reflect, and build genuine community without judgment. We recognize the importance of spaces where Black queer women can show up fully as themselves and be surrounded by others who understand the power of storytelling, self-expression, and collective healing. What to expect: -Guided writing prompts -Poetry and creative writing sessions -Journaling and reflection time -Manuscript and work-in-progress discussion -Opportunities to share your writing (sharing is always optional) -Meaningful connection with other Black lesbian writers and creatives -A relaxed, supportive atmosphere centered on respect, confidentiality, and community care Who is this for? This event is intended for Black lesbians, sapphic Black women, and queer Black women who love writing in any form—from experienced authors to people who haven’t written in years but want to start again. Our intention We are creating a space where your words are welcomed, your identity is affirmed, and your creativity is nurtured. Bring your notebook, laptop, favorite pen, unfinished poem, or simply your presence. Come as you are. Leave inspired, connected, and reminded that your story deserves to be written.
