TheyHouse returns to Bar Franca in DTLA on Sunday, October 18 for the next edition of its monthly daytime gathering. Following a packed dance floor at September’s session, October welcomes Calvin Dunn alongside TheyHouse residents Terrell Brooke and NAYGOD. The afternoon will begin with TheyHouse Open Decks, an ongoing invitation for DJs from the wider community to introduce themselves, share their selections and open the event. Those interested in participating can sign up through @theyhousela. Rooted in the Black and Queer origins of house music, TheyHouse centers a trans-inclusive dance floor and approaches communal dance as a space for freedom, experimentation, connection and release. With the gathering arriving in the middle of Halloween season, costumes are welcomed but intentionally optional. Those who want to dress up are invited to play, experiment and express themselves freely; those looking for an escape from the usual Halloween festivities are equally welcome to arrive exactly as they are.
