Join AJSOCAL, CAUSE, LA Blade, Translatin@ Coalition & SIPA as we uplift QTAPI and LGBTQ+ voices this election! Overview Asian Americans Advancing Justice Southern California (AJSOCAL), Center for Asian Americans United for Self-Empowerment (CAUSE), Search to Involve Pilipino Americans (SIPA), Translatin@ Coalition, and the Los Angeles Blade are co-hosting a happy hour voting event that will uplift the voices and votes of the queer, trans Asian Pacific Islander (QTAPI) community and larger LGBTQ+ community members in Los Angeles County. This event creates an opportunity for the LGBTQ+ community to engage civically, use their voices, and help build a more inclusive and equitable future, particularly for queer and BIPOC communities. About the Event "Drag Me to the Polls" happy hour event that is uplifting the QTAPI and larger LGBTQ+ community's voices and votes this upcoming election. Bring your vote-by-mail (VBM) ballots, we'll assist with any questions you may have. Together, attendees will march together from Mattie’s WeHo to the nearest dropbox to submit ballots. The event will be hosted by LA's most iconic duo, Miss Shu Mai and Bibi Discoteca, and will include a special performance by Calypso Jete Balmain, with music and vibes by ThatFlyPinay and DJ Miu. There will also be a photo booth, resource tabling, and mobile HIV/STD testing provided by APAIT. *Note that program will start promptly at 6:15 PM Bring your vote-by-mail ballots, your friends and come celebrate with us!
