Chrysalis takes their first turn behind the decks on FLOOR TWO, Friday the 23 Special guests Baby Leo and Afro.Fem, and residents DJ Papaya and Amylia are ready to warp your minds and work your bodies on a haunted thrill ride thru terrestrial and alien sonic space. Baby Leo is defining figure of both Bay Area and NY experimental dance music, and one of the founders of the brilliant DRIPPING festival & club night. His sets harness a twisted, and feral energy that embraces a boundless swath of musical styles from dubstep to halftime to leftfield techno to Latin club, beckoning dancers to strap in for a singular psychedelic journey. A key figure of Philly’s club and rave ecosystem, Afro.fem amps up the bold and genre-expansive vision of the evening. She weaves together threads of Black futurist electronic music from techno, garage, bass, breaks and beyond, turning up the heat with breakneck percussion and low-end groove.
