Celebrate Halloween at this screening & fundraiser supporting mutual aid for trans people and local public media Join KALW on Friday, October 30 for a special Halloween edition of Solidarity Cinema, with screenings at 8:00 and 9:30 PM. This month, we'll be screening four short horror short films that explore queerness and monstrosity. As always, this screening is a fundraiser for mutual aid and all funds raised tonight will be donated to TGIJP and local public media! Start your Halloweekend off right with some queer art and community care!! Terror Sisters (dir. Alexis Langlois, 2019) / 27m PYOTR495 (dir. Blake Mawson, 2016) / 15m Steak Dinner (dir. Nathan Mark Ginter, 2025) / 7m SPRINGS (dir. Morgan Healani Mein, 2025) / 14m Solidarity Cinema is a community-run archive of more than 9,000 films documenting solidarity, struggle, and social movements around the world. By providing free access to radical cinema and supporting grassroots screenings, the project helps organizers, educators, and communities use film as a tool for learning, collective action, and social change.
