Assembly: The Afro Queer Futures Film

About

🔥 HOUSTON, GET READY TO ASSEMBLE! 🔥 We're bringing BLACK QUEER ART, CULTURE, TECHNOLOGY, and LIBERATION to the Historic DeLUXE Theater during AfroTech! 🖤🏳️‍🌈✨ Join us on Wednesday, November 4, for a special screening of ASSEMBLY, a groundbreaking documentary following visionary artist Rashaad Newsome as he brings together ballroom culture, dance, artificial intelligence, ancestral storytelling, and the power of Black queer imagination. 🎬 AND HERE'S THE EXCITING PART! Following the screening, we'll be joined by Rashaad Newsome himself for a special conversation about the film, his artistic vision, and the power of Black queer creativity and community! And because we know how to ASSEMBLE… we're keeping the celebration going with an AFTERPARTY! 🪩🔥 This is more than a movie night. It's an opportunity to gather, connect, celebrate our stories, and imagine new possibilities together.
