Atmosphérique with JENNGREEN ft. ElectricTeel & Jacki Why Friday | November 6 | 10PM - LATE Jacki Why Seattle based DJ / producer Jacki Why is bringing her playful energy, punchy basslines, and cheeky lyrics to fuse deep tech grooves and sometimes provocative sounds to make people laugh and dance. ElectricTeel Born and raised in the Occupied Duwamish Territories around Seattle, ElectricTeel is known for unearthing the grooviest sounds from the Pacific Northwest. Their journey as a DJ began with spinning local funk and soul on vinyl, and they have since expanded to other genres including house and techno. ElectricTeel's unique commitment to their community as a "100% NW Selector," brings decades of music from Washington, Oregon and British Columbia together into one irresistible flow. With a deep love for crate-digging and musical storytelling, they are honored to share the musical history of our region, and to elevate the voices and stories that connect us across space and time. ElectricTeel has hosted “NW Groove Therapy” on Portland's community-based Shady Pines Radio for the last two years, performed and taught a class on the history of NW Funk and Soul last year at the Olympia FunkFest, is co-creator of Technician – an underground techno day party, and regularly performs B2B with their partner, Hemosis. JENNGREEN is a deep rooted, music hermit who has crafted her voice through DIY amateur to pirate radio, long lasting online radio residencies with a back in FM radio. She is heavily influenced by her Detroit and Chicago roots, translating her vast musical curiosity and voracious appetite into both exploring and fully supporting underground music. Jenn relocated to Seattle in 2014, where she has been contributing and immersing herself deeply within the Seattle underground scene + community.
