A beginner-friendly Acrylic Painting Workshop followed by a live Sound Bath in Venice Beach. 🎟️ THIS EVENT IS NOT SOLD OUT! MORE FREE TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE. 💚 Join us on the beach for a calming, beginner-friendly acrylic painting workshop where artist Pat Conlon will guide participants in creating a beautiful 8x10 fall-inspired acrylic painting. Then settle into the sand for a live sound bath with queer artist X. ARI, designed to help you relax, reset and soak in the ocean vibes as the sun sets. This community event is made possible by WisdoMania Foundation, a local LA non-profit dedicated to blending the arts and self-care to create meaningful, restorative experiences. No prior skills or experience are necessary. Everything will be guided in a step-by-step process. All materials are provided. All ages welcome. Event Flow & Structure: 2:00 - 2:15 Welcome & Introductions 2:15 - 4:00 Acrylic Paint Workshop 4:00 - 4:45 Sound Bath 4:45 - 5:00 Clean Up & Closing Location: The closest parking lot (2100 Ocean Front Walk, Venice) costs $9 and is accessible on N Venice Blvd (& Speedway). Please note, this lot can get full on a Sunday. Of course, you can find street or meter parking which will be less expensive or free. This is more difficult later in the day. Please factor in ample time to find parking. Please see map below for where we will gather on the beach. Exact pin location will be provided prior to the event. Please factor in traffic and parking. Please consider the weather as we will be outside on the beach. Please wear clothing you would not mind getting paint on. Please bring a towel or yoga mat and EXTRA layers, blankets and warm clothes for the sound bath. It will be colder at this time and you will be laying down. We will be on the beach kneeling and sitting. We will have tarps but there will be sand. Feel free to bring a towel, blanket or chair. Public bathrooms and sinks are walking distance from the location. The whole event is 3 hours and will end at 5:00 PM.
