At the D.M.V. is an hour of personal comedy about love, friendship, the price of infamy, and what happens after you come out. 4 years after the release of her critically acclaimed debut comedy special Queer Enough, which was named one of 6 Queer Comedy Festivals That Will Restore Your Faith In The Craft by Autostraddle magazine, New York comedian Sunny Laprade is back with a brand new hour of hilarious comedy and queer joy! Trans! At The DMV explores what happens after you come out, after the cameras turn off, when you have to live your day to day life as a trans woman, navigating romantic relationships, jobs, and of course, going to the DMV. This will be an uninterrupted hour of gut busting laughter, hilarious darkness and honesty, queer and trans joy, and some occasional debauchery. Sunny has been doing standup since she was a 15 year old straight boy, and has been touring and headlining internationally ever since! She released her debut standup special in 2022, and was briefly the second most followed transgender woman standup comedian in the world. She is a 2X Moth Storyslam champion, a New York Queer Comedy Festival finalist, and runs the largest all transgender comedy show in the world.
