Effective Date: August 17, 2026 - Gatherings LLC
These Event Guidelines ("Guidelines") govern the creation, listing, promotion, and operation of Events on the Gaytherings Services. These Guidelines are incorporated into and form part of the Terms of Service. These Guidelines apply to all Users, including Organizers, who create, post, or otherwise make Events or User-Generated Content available through the Services. We may update these Guidelines from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the Services or by email. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Guidelines. We reserve the right to remove any Event or content, or suspend or terminate any account, at any time if we believe these Guidelines have been violated or if doing so may create risk, harm, or legal exposure.
General Compliance
You are responsible for ensuring that your Event, content, and conduct comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations in the jurisdiction where the Event occurs. Without limiting the foregoing, you may not create or promote any Event that is unlawful, improperly permitted, or otherwise non-compliant with applicable law.
Prohibited Content and Events
You may not create, post, or promote any Event or content that:
Intellectual Property. Infringes or misappropriates any intellectual property rights, including unauthorized use of images, branding, logos, or copyrighted materials, or involves counterfeit merchandise or the unauthorized sale of third-party branded goods.
False or Misleading Information. Is false, misleading, deceptive, or likely to misrepresent the nature of an Event or your identity or affiliation.
Privacy Violations. Violates any person's privacy or publicity rights, including posting images or hosting Events at private locations without appropriate consent.
Illegal or Criminal Activity. Promotes, facilitates, or involves illegal or criminal activity, including any activity that is not permitted in the jurisdiction where the Event occurs.
Non-Consensual or Exploitative Conduct. Involves or promotes non-consensual, exploitative, coercive, or abusive conduct of any kind.
Sexually Explicit Content and Sexual Services. Depicts, promotes, or offers sexually explicit conduct, live sex acts, pornographic material, escorting, or commercial sexual services, or offers admission to venues where sexual services or sexually explicit performance are the substance of the Event. This also applies to the images, video, and text used in your Event listing, which must not contain sexually explicit or pornographic material. Adult-oriented Events that do not involve sexually explicit conduct are addressed in Section 3.
Violence and Harm. Promotes or depicts violence, threats, harassment, abuse, or harm to any person or animal.
Human Trafficking and Exploitation. Involves or promotes human trafficking, exploitation, or similar activities.
Discrimination and Hate. Promotes discrimination, hatred, or violence against any individual or group.
Gambling, Games of Chance, and Unauthorized Promotions. Involves casino-style gaming, poker or card tournaments, bingo, lotteries, raffles, sweepstakes, betting pools, or any other game of chance or skill offering a monetary or material prize, whether or not the Event is framed as a fundraiser or charitable activity. This also includes giveaways and commercial promotions that are not authorized or compliant with applicable law.
Cannabis and Controlled Substances. Involves the sale, distribution, provision, or on-site consumption of cannabis or cannabis products, illegal drugs, substances designed to mimic illegal drugs, or plant-based substances marketed for their psychoactive effect. This applies regardless of whether such activity is lawful in the jurisdiction where the Event occurs.
Business Opportunity and Recruitment Schemes. Promotes pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing, commission- or recruitment-based sales opportunities, get-rich-quick programs, or similar business opportunity offerings, including where the Event is presented as networking, training, or education.
Platform Misuse. Interferes with, disrupts, misuses, or attempts to gain unauthorized access to the Services or other Users' ability to use the Services, including through fraudulent or deceptive activity, fake or misleading Events, counterfeit or unauthorized tickets, the unauthorized resale or scalping of tickets, overselling Events beyond authorized capacity, manipulation of ticket inventory or pricing, circumvention of payment or access controls, use of bots or automated tools, or other activity that creates risk, harm, liability, or operational disruption for Gaytherings or its Users.
Adult-Oriented and Sensitive Content
The Services are intended for adults. Events listed on the Services may be adult-oriented — including nightlife, drag and burlesque performance, artistic nudity and performance art, leather, fetish and kink community social events, harm reduction programming, and sexual health education — provided they comply with these Guidelines and applicable law. The Services do not permit Events involving sexually explicit conduct, live sex acts, or commercial sexual services, as described in Section 2. This restriction applies regardless of whether such an Event would be lawful in the jurisdiction where it takes place. If your Event is adult-oriented or includes sensitive content, it must:
comply with all applicable laws, regulations, permits, and licensing requirements;
be described clearly and accurately, so that attendees understand what the Event involves before purchasing a ticket;
state any age restriction that applies, and be operated so that the restriction is enforced at the door by the Organizer;
not involve unlawful, non-consensual, coercive, or exploitative conduct; and
not use sexually explicit or pornographic images, video, or text in the Event listing.
Gaytherings does not verify the age of attendees at the point of purchase. Verifying the age and eligibility of attendees at the Event is the sole responsibility of the Organizer. You are responsible for determining whether your Event complies with applicable law and is appropriate for listing on the Services. We may remove any Event that we believe falls outside these Guidelines, including Events that are lawful but inconsistent with the standards we apply to the Services.
Events Requiring Prior Approval
Certain Events are subject to additional legal, regulatory, or operational requirements and require our prior approval before they may be listed. These include:
Events whose primary purpose is charitable fundraising, donation collection, or crowdfunding;
dating, matchmaking, or speed-dating Events;
Events sold as travel packages, including trips, cruises, retreats, or Events that include transportation or accommodation;
Events at which alcohol is sold directly by the Organizer as a separate purchase rather than included in the price of admission, in jurisdictions where alcohol sales are restricted; and
Events involving auctions of regulated goods.
If your Event falls into any of these categories, contact us at support@gaytherings.com before listing it. Listing such an Event without prior approval may result in the Event being removed and payouts being delayed or withheld.
Regulated Activities
Certain activities may be subject to additional regulation depending on jurisdiction, and the Organizer is responsible for compliance with all applicable laws related to:
alcohol;
controlled substances;
public gatherings and permits;
licensing requirements; and
health and safety regulations.
Gaytherings does not verify compliance with such laws.
No Duty to Monitor or Verify
Gaytherings may, but is not obligated to, review or monitor any Events, Organizer Content, or User-Generated Content. Gaytherings has no obligation to monitor the Services or to enforce these Guidelines, and disclaims any such duty. Gaytherings does not verify the accuracy, legality, or compliance of any Event, Organizer, or User-Generated Content, including whether any Event complies with applicable laws, regulations, permits, or licensing requirements. Gaytherings may, but is not obligated to, remove, restrict access to, or modify any Event or content, or suspend or terminate any User account, at any time and for any reason, including if Gaytherings believes, in its discretion, that these Guidelines or the Terms of Service have been violated or that such action is necessary to prevent risk, harm, legal exposure, or potential liability. Gaytherings may take such action with or without notice and without any liability to you.
Jurisdictional Acknowledgment
You acknowledge that the Services may be accessible across multiple jurisdictions and that laws, regulations, and standards may vary by location. You are solely responsible for determining whether your access to the Services, participation in any Event, or creation of any Event is lawful in your jurisdiction and in the jurisdiction where the Event occurs.
Reporting Violations and Unsafe Events
If you believe that an Event listing is fraudulent, misleading, unlawful, unsafe, or otherwise violates these Guidelines, our Terms of Service, or applicable law, you may report it using the "Report Event or Organizer" option at the bottom of the Event page, or by contacting us at support@gaytherings.com with the Event name, a link to the listing, and a description of your concern. Upon receiving a report, Gaytherings may review the information provided and take action as it deems appropriate in its sole discretion. Such actions may include, without limitation:
requesting additional information from the reporting party or the Organizer;
temporarily restricting visibility of the Event;
removing or modifying the Event listing;
suspending or terminating the Organizer's access to the Services; or
reporting the Event or Organizer to the appropriate authorities where required or appropriate.
Gaytherings is not obligated to take any specific action in response to a report and does not guarantee that any reported Event will be removed or modified. Users are encouraged to exercise caution and conduct their own due diligence before purchasing tickets to or attending any Event.
Notice and appeals. Where we remove an Event or restrict or terminate an account, we will generally notify the Organizer and provide the reason for our decision. Some review of Events and content is carried out using automated tools. If you believe a decision was made in error, you may appeal by contacting us at support@gaytherings.com, and we will review your appeal and respond within a reasonable time.
